Our website does collect limited personal data about visitors. Two of our member only webpages collects personal data such as your name, email address, and genealogy info. We only use this data for our records and is shared only with other member societies.

By default, our website does not share any personal data with anyone outside of our Council. We use several security packages to protect your data.

Data We Collect

We review contact form submissions for a certain period for customer service purposes, but you do not use the information submitted through them for any marketing purposes.

If you visit our members only login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Society Videos

We record many of our monthly meetings and classes, provided the outside speaker has given us permission to do so. We only share the video securely via a video link through our direct email system or using our members only webpage.

Website Metrics

We do collect website metrics via our Webalyzer software, but only in recording number of visitors, what cities visit our website, and how many and what webpages are visited on a monthly basis.

Website Violations

We do use security software that records IP addresses and locations of users who violate Federal regulations or try to hack our website, which is automatically reported back to our ISP and in some cases, federal authorities.
